Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer for IT Asset Management to drive end-to-end automation of SaaS licenses and hardware spend. You will build scalable, AI-powered workflows to eliminate manual toil as the company scales, and you will own automation across onboarding, license management, asset reconciliation, and offboarding, partnering with IT and security teams.

You will design and implement integrations with ITSM tools, identity platforms, and data systems, leveraging REST APIs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, automation engineering, or a related technical role.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-system automation projects with measurable business impact.
• Strong automation-first mindset to convert manual processes into scalable automated solutions.
• Ability to operate with minimal guidance, own ambiguous problems, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end automation for IT asset management workflows, including new hire laptop provisioning and license lifecycle.
• Automate asset data reconciliation, CMDB/inventory management, and hardware recovery processes.
• Develop AI-powered automation using LLMs and ensure integration with ITSM and asset systems.
• Collaborate with IT operations, security, procurement, and finance to implement scalable automation across IT services.
