Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Senior IT Applications Engineer to join the IT Custom Development Team in Ohio. The role covers new development and full-stack support for web and Windows apps using Angular, C#, ASP.Net, Java, and Azure, with AI tools like Claude Code and Co-pilot to aid design and development.

The successful candidate will manage projects, analyze requirements, and ensure SDLC artifacts are created. Strong communication skills are essential, with on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Angular, C#, ASP.Net, .Net Core, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Oracle.
• Exposure to AI tools such as Claude Code, Co-pilot, or other AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Understand business processes, supporting technologies, key stakeholders’ objectives, and overall business goals.
• Collaborate with business partners, IT Management, team members, and vendors by participating in meetings to analyze requirements and define project and technical support needs.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and align closely with their priorities and expectations.
• Plan, organize, and deliver technical projects and solutions in accordance with the Change Management process, including generating required documentation and SDLC artifacts.
• Use AI tools for design and development of IT solutions; provide on-call support and drive innovation for online and batch applications.
