Druid Software is seeking a Senior IT and Security Administrator Operations in Bray, hybrid. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining the company's IT and security architecture, managing assets, and enabling secure staff transitions within a full‑time capacity.
Responsibilities include deploying secure network infrastructure, leading security tooling, and mentoring junior staff. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and extensive Linux and virtualization experience are expected.

This is a full time hands‑on technical role focused on the implementation and maintenance of the organizations IT and security architecture. You will act as a primary technical resource responsible for administrating and executing the company IT and Security strategy, managing IT assets, and facilitating secure staff transitions.
Implementation & Maintenance of IT Architecture Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPN services, to support business operations. Configure, install, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls. Monitor, maintain and upgrade company servers and systems in hardware, virtual and cloud based environments.
Operational Security & Monitoring Lead the technical deployment and management of security tools, including Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS), antivirus/anti‑malware solutions, and SIEM platforms. Monitor network performance to identify bottlenecks and implement technical solutions that optimise efficiency and reliability. Perform regular risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate technical risks. Implement and manage security access control and identity management systems to ensure least‑privilege access is maintained throughout the employee lifecycle.
Asset Management & Staff Operations Maintain accurate tracking and inventory documentation for all IT hardware and software assets, ensuring the registry is up‑to‑date and compliant with security policies. Manage the technical onboarding and off‑boarding processes for staff, ensuring timely and secure provisioning of hardware and access rights, as well as the secure de‑provisioning and retrieval of assets for departing employees.
Incident Response & Support Participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents as part of the wider incident response plan. Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and handle escalated troubleshooting requests. Ensuring ongoing archiving of relevant logs and artefacts for future investigate. Support of other departments as required, e.g. deployment of off‑site pop‑up networks for the marketing department during demos and events.
Experience: 58 years of IT experience with a strong focus on network implementation and technical security. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering ,Information Technology, or Cybersecurity. Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing). Extensive Linux knowledge. Experience with Virtualised Environments (VMWare, Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker) Hands‑on experience with EDR tools and cloud security environments (AWS, Azure) desirable Certifications: Comp TIA Linux+ (or similar), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Security+ desirable.
