Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions seeks a Senior IT Analyst to lead design, deployment, and maintenance of major IT systems for the Department of Energy in Germantown, MD. The role is onsite and requires strong background in Linux, security, and enterprise infrastructure.

The candidate will manage system administration, patching, scripting (Ansible/Bash), and security compliance (STIGs), while supporting incident response and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Active TS or Q clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of professional IT experience including project lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of new systems and applications.
• Implement and monitor security for assigned systems and policies.
• Provide ongoing system administration support and issue resolution.
• Manage and deploy Linux (RHEL) and on‑prem hardware, with patching per DoD STIGs.
• Develop automation scripts using Ansible and Bash; backup and DR planning.
