Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions seeks a cleared Senior System Administrator to support the DOE EHSS contract in Germantown, MD. The role involves leading the development, implementation, maintenance, and replacement of major IT systems and applications onsite.

The position requires active TS or Q clearance and US citizenship, with 10+ years of IT experience across system administration, security, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of professional IT experience including analysis and full project lifecycle.
• US citizenship and active TS or Q clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor RHEL and Windows systems.
• Manage user accounts, group memberships, and access permissions.
• Harden and patch OS per DoD STIGs and agency policies.
• Deploy patch cycles using Satellite Server and WSUS.
• Manage Microsoft Group Policies Objects (GPO).
• Deploy, configure, and manage CDM tools and services for asset discovery, vulnerability scanning, endpoint detection, and configuration management.
• Develop automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Support backup and disaster recovery operations.
• Create and maintain configuration management documentation for all systems.
• Tier 2 support and ticket closure.
• Troubleshoot complex systems, networks, and security issues.
• Includes weekend work for critical system patching and maintenance windows.
