Job summary

The City of Huntington Beach is seeking a Senior Information Technology Analyst in the Business Systems Division of the Information Technology Services Department. The ideal candidate will lead analysis, development, maintenance, and administration of computer systems to meet business needs, with hands-on experience in IT applications, data modeling, and system integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer network, information technology, or closely related field.
• Four (4) years’ professional-level information technology experience in business analysis, server analysis and administration, or network design/administration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements and recommend technology solutions to improve operations.
• Design, build, customize, test, implement, maintain, and enhance hardware and software systems.
• Provide professional customer support for system-related software and hardware issues.
• Develop web applications, server components and data interfaces.
• Perform system administration tests including security management and disaster recovery.
• Write programs and scripts using various languages and databases.
