Job summary

J&T in Maryland is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security posture and ensure compliance across large software environments. The role requires hands-on experience implementing policies, performing IAVA management, and coordinating certification activities.

A current TS/SCI with polygraph is required. Candidates should have 10+ years in ISSO roles and 5+ years with SSPs and security documentation, plus strong interpersonal skills and self-initiative.

Qualifications

• Senior ISSO with hands-on responsibility for system security posture and compliance.
• Experience in IAVA management, SSPs, and security documentation.
• Proven ability to implement and enforce information systems security policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for enforcing information security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist in evaluating security solutions to meet requirements for processing information.
• Assist with Configuration Management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and develop incident detection, reporting, and remediation procedures.
• Maintain records on devices and network components and perform upgrades.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure compliance with information processing needs.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Support ISSM in maintaining the IA posture for systems/enclaves.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Certification & Accreditation.
• Develop system security plans and IA documentation updates.
• IAVA management support including scans, remediation, and patch distribution.
• Provide CM for security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware.
• Develop system security policy and ensure compliance.
• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
