Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (TS/SCI with active full scope polygraph) to lead security posture across complex information systems in Annapolis, MD. This role requires hands-on expertise in policy development, SSPs, IAVA management, and risk-based security controls.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years as an ISSO, proven experience on large software or IT programs, and the ability to work with the ISSM to maintain IA posture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of ISSO experience, independently or on teams maintaining secure operations.
• At least 5 years using tools to support IAVA management.
• At least 5 years of experience using tools to prepare and maintain SSPs and related documentation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current security tools, encryption techniques, and protocols.
• Experience evaluating software systems or architectures for security compliance.
• Experience coordinating and enforcing security policies on large IT programs.
• Strong self-initiative and teamwork skills.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist in evaluating security solutions to meet requirements for processing information.
• Assist with Configuration Management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and develop incident detection, reporting, and remediation methodologies.
• Maintain records on devices and systems including upgrades.
• Support ISSM in maintaining appropriate IA posture for systems.
• Develop and maintain Certification & Accreditation documentation.
• Provide IAVA management support and patching across sites.
• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
