Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Senior ISSO with active TS/SCI and polygraph to lead security posture and compliance for information systems in Annapolis, MD. You will implement security policies, evaluate solutions, and manage IAVA responses, system security plans, and certification activities.

The role requires deep experience across security tools, encryption, and large software/IT programs, with a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 10 years as an ISSO in secure operations

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist in evaluating security solutions to meet security requirements for processing multiple types of information.
• Assist with Configuration Management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and develop best practice methodologies for incident detection, reporting, and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, switches, etc. including system upgrades.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing information.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Support ISSM to maintain appropriate operational IA posture.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Certification & Accreditation per policies.
• Develop and update system security plans and IA documentation.
• Support IAVA management (responding to IAVA, scans, remediation).
• Provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.
• Develop system security policy and ensure compliance.
• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
