Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking an experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the FBI under Objective 2: ISSO/ISSE Program Management. The ISSO will help develop and refine a methodology for categorizing FBI IT systems based on security, operational, and mission-related factors.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years in federal cybersecurity, a TS clearance, and hands-on RMF/NIST SP 800-37/800-53 experience, plus CNSS 1253 and data-type considerations; labor mapping, cost

Qualifications

• Experience in federal cybersecurity compliance and information assurance.
• Experience with risk management and security controls under federal frameworks (RMF, NIST SP 800-37/800-53).
• Knowledge of CNSS 1253, FIPS-199, and related guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a documented methodology to categorize FBI IT systems by security, hosting, data types, and mission function.
• Analyze systems for risk, security posture, and required ISSO/ISSE support; track labor/cost reporting.
• Prepare Monthly Statement Reports (MSRs) and support labor allocation and cost recovery processes.
• Coordinate with leadership, COR, PM, and reviewers to ensure transparent, defensible categorization logic.
