Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support cybersecurity and compliance for mission-critical IT systems on the MAJESTIC JPO Team. The role focuses on implementing and assessing security controls to meet NIST 800-53 and RMF requirements, coordinating with system owners and cross-functional security teams.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional experience managing and supporting enterprise-level IT environments.
• Experience developing and maintaining SSPs and POA&Ms for compliance and audit purposes.
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD security requirements.
• Active security certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure RMF compliance by developing, maintaining, and assessing SSPs and POA&Ms.
• Implement and validate security controls per NIST 800-53 and overlays.
• Support ATO processes and maintain Authority to Operate status.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis with mitigation recommendations.
• Lead system hardening per DISA STIGs and CIS benchmarks.
