Job summary

Navstar Inc is seeking a self-starting Information System Security Officer to maintain compliance and strengthen the security of mission systems under RMF. You will lead audits, monitor networks for vulnerabilities, and support reaccreditation activities in a defense-focused environment.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, strong RMF background, and IAM Tier 1 certification; salary is competitive and Maryland-based.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
• An associate's degree or 18 semester hours of military computer-related coursework plus 10 years of relevant experience may be considered.
• High school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered.
• IAM Tier 1 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen the security posture of mission systems and SSPs.
• Support continuous monitoring of information systems to detect non-compliance and vulnerabilities.
• Follow standardized security processes and contribute to the continuous monitoring program.
• Perform regular audits of information systems.
• Assist IS security manager in preparing systems for reaccreditation.
