Akima Global Technology (AGT) in Ashburn, Virginia is seeking a Senior Information System Security Officer to lead security program development and ensure compliance with government standards.

The role focuses on implementing RMF, overseeing NIST SP 800-53 controls, and coordinating with government program managers to maintain ATOs and continuous monitoring, while monitoring incidents and reports with DHS/CISA alignment.

Competenze

• 8+ years of relevant information security experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to obtain CBP Background Investigation/clearance.

Mansioni

• Plans, develops, and analyzes security measures to protect critical information from counter-threats and possible attacks.
• Protects sensitive information by ensuring required software is functioning and being used correctly; research new methods to improve digital security and eliminate vulnerabilities.
• Monitors and reviews user access logs and provides user usage reports to management.
• Audits operations to ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Evaluates and recommends installation, modification and replacement of hardware or software components; performs work under minimal supervision.
• Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff; may act as lead.
• Identifies ISSO positions as key personnel to be the Designated Person(s) for existing and future systems to develop ATO and continuous monitoring.
