Job summary

ASEC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support cybersecurity compliance, assessment and authorization, and continuous monitoring of information systems. You will coordinate with Government cybersecurity personnel, ISSMs, admins, and engineering teams to implement security requirements and address vulnerabilities.

This on-site role is based at ASEC's corporate office in Lexington Park, MD, with up to 10% travel. Candidates must have DoD Top Secret clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field required.
• At least 5 years of IA/Cybersecurity experience preferred.
• Experience supporting DoD cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability management, or A&A activities.
• Familiar with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD requirements.
• Experience developing authorization docs, POA&Ms, and evidence.

Responsibilities

• Support RMF activities through the system lifecycle (security control implementation, assessment prep, authorization, monitoring).
• Develop and maintain SSPs, control statements, evidence, and authorization artifacts.
• Maintain security records in eMASS or repositories.
• Coordinate with teams to maintain inventories, boundary descriptions, diagrams, and baselines.
• Evaluate scans with ACAS, STIGs, and SCAP; coordinate remediation.
• Prepare POA&Ms and mitigation documents for government review.
• Monitor compliance with cybersecurity policies and configurations.
• Review changes for cybersecurity impact and support CM processes.
• Coordinate requirements for system installations, upgrades, and deployments.
• Assist with incident reporting and evidence collection; support inspections.
