Job summary

ASEC is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support a high-visibility DoD program on-site at NAS Lemoore, CA. You will shape and enforce information system security policies and monitor compliance across DoD systems.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and expertise in RMF, STIGs, ACAS, SCAP, and security monitoring tools. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ is required; DoD baseline certs may satisfy requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or 5 years of ISSO/cybersecurity engineering experience + DoD baseline certification.
• Please upload copies of any relevant IT certifications you hold.

Responsibilities

• Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information system security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using ACAS, DISA STIGs, and SCAP.
• Utilize SolarWinds or Splunk to monitor security events and maintain continuous compliance.
• Configure OS and network devices security per DISA STIGs.
• Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies for DoD information systems.
• Identify NIAP-certified technologies and the DISA APL.
• Prepare certification letters and MOAs with system owners for interfaces.
• Provide guidance for cross-functional cybersecurity efforts and alignment with program goals.
• Collaborate on documentation for ATO decisions (SSPs, SOPs, POA&M, Knowledge Articles).
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for satellite communications infrastructures.
