Job summary

PeopleTec, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior ISSO to oversee RMF, NIST-based security, and DoD SRG compliance for IL6 data in a Huntsville-based cloud environment. You will coordinate RMF steps, author SSPs, and drive continuous monitoring programs across multi-cloud systems.

The role requires active DoD IAM Level III certs and cloud security certifications, with threat remediation, incident response, and DevSecOps collaboration as core duties. Travel and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of nine (9) years of progressive cybersecurity experience.
• Seven (7) years as an ISSO/ISSM in cleared DoD/IC environment.
• Three (3) years securing cloud-based systems (AWS/Azure/GCP) in high-security environments (IL5/IL6).
• Experience implementing RMF (NIST SP 800-37/53/800-137).
• Strong understanding of IAM, encryption, and container security.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF steps 1–6 for GDS and ensure ATOs.
• Author and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and boundary diagrams.
• Design and execute continuous monitoring for cloud environments.
• Perform vulnerability scans and remediation planning with cloud engineers.
• Deploy enterprise security tools to detect and mitigate threats.
• Support incident response and post-incident forensics.
• Provide security architecture guidance for DevSecOps and IaC deployments.
• Report cybersecurity risks and compliance drift to leadership.
