Job summary

The Senior Information Systems Security Officer (Sr. ISSO) at the Applied Physics Laboratory will guide the defense-in-depth security of JWICS, SIPRNet, and classified enclaves under the ISSM.

You will oversee security operations, coordinate with CSSO and FSO, and maintain SSPs while ensuring compliance with DoD and IC requirements. You will also participate in insider threat programs, manage patching, and lead risk analyses to protect sensitive information and systems across accredited

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a information security related field and DoD security experience required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a DoD SECRET clearance and eligible for SCI access.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification or able to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Support ISSM to ensure JWICS, SIPRNet, and enclaves meet IC/DoD requirements.
• Administer security tools to assess vulnerabilities and patching processes.
• Maintain SSPs and integrate security with personnel, physical, and industrial controls.
• Perform air-gapped system administration for Windows and RHEL environments.
• Lead risk analyses and maintain CMRS records; support ITP functions.
