Job summary

VT Group (VTG) seeks a seasoned Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the Intelligence Community at our Herndon, VA location. The role involves leading RMF/A&A activities, creating security artifacts, and guiding developers on security requirements.

You will design safety controls, perform risk assessments, and maintain documentation such as SSP, BoE, and SCTM using XACTA. Strong collaboration with engineers and analysts is essential.

Qualifications

• 9+ years supporting A&A and information assurance processes using RMF.
• Hands-on experience to validate control implementations and test procedures.
• Knowledge of current security risks and protocols.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement safety measures and controls; monitor network activity for vulnerabilities.
• Support A&A processes and IA documentation across multiple systems.
• Lead RMF/A&A activities and maintain BoE, SSP, SCTM, STP in XACTA.
• Analyze existing security systems and recommend improvements.
• Prepare reports and action plans in case of security breaches.
• Monitor network for abnormalities and provide downtime notifications.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to define security requirements.
