Job summary

VSO is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) Level 4 to join our Lorton, VA team. You will engineer and sustain cybersecurity tools, perform RMF-aligned security assessments, and mitigate vulnerabilities across DoD enclave environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Splunk, Nessus/ACAS, Trellix ePO, and STIG/SCAP, plus strong documentation and collaboration with the ISSM/ISSO. On-site work and up to 25% travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years leadership experience, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of demonstrated performance in related technology.
• 5+ years of related experience in an SCI/SAP environment.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Security+ Certification.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Splunk Enterprise environments with RBAC, dashboards, reports, and alerts.
• Administer Nessus Scanner/Manager and Security Center; develop scans and reports.
