Job summary

TRISTAR INC is seeking an Information System Security Engineer III to provide expert-level cybersecurity engineering, architecture, and RMF support for DoD networks. The role requires high-level technical leadership, DoD policy mastery, and the ability to translate mission requirements into secure engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems/cybersecurity engineering and related fields.
• DoD 8570/8140 IASAE Level III baseline qualification.
• CASP or CISSP prior to start date.
• Experience designing and assessing security architectures for complex information systems.
• Experience with RMF and system authorization processes.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior SME for complex DoD systems and networks.
• Develop and evaluate secure system architectures addressing mission requirements.
• Lead threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and security reviews.
• Prepare RMF documentation including SSPs, SAPs, SARs, and POA&Ms.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with government stakeholders.
