Job summary

TRISTAR seeks an Information System Security Engineer III to deliver expert cybersecurity engineering for complex DoD networks. You will apply IASAE III practices, design resilient architectures, and guide RMF processes across the system lifecycle.

You will lead security reviews, threat modeling, and interface with government stakeholders to ensure compliant, secure solutions. A DoD-focused, senior role with independent judgment is required.

Qualifications

• Requires DoD 8570 IASAE Level III baseline.
• Bachelor's or Master's in a related technical field.
• 10+ years in systems/cybersecurity engineering or similar.
• CASP or CISSP prior to start date.
• Experience with RMF documentation and DoD security controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior SME for DoD systems and networks.
• Integrate cybersecurity requirements across lifecycle.
• Develop secure architectures mitigating threats across enterprise.
• Lead threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and RMF activities.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders and coordinate with government teams.
