The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Engineer-Systems Engineering to shape Air Force, DoD and IC ground architectures and advance data-driven ISR solutions. This onsite Langley, VA role requires expertise in data management, systems engineering, and risk assessment.

Join a team delivering end-to-end architectures, AI-enabled insights, and mission-critical technologies. US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required, with domestic travel and relocation support as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM areas.
• Ten years of experience in data management, data engineering, data analytics, systems engineering, or related field.
• Experience implementing data standards, best practices, technical specifications and Data Reference Architecture principles.
• Experience understanding semantic concepts enabling system interoperability.
• Experience with risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong analytical mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Willing to travel domestically ~10% and occasional travel to Chantilly, VA.
• Current TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead AoAs, studies and pilots to guide government decisions on technical solutions and program direction.
• Design and implement ISR data management and governance strategies for scalable architectures.
• Optimize ISR data workflows using automation, augmentation and AI technologies.
• Architect end-to-end system solutions to maximize interoperability and data processing.
• Lead acquisition processes to modernize ISR enterprise through automation and AI.
• Provide expert technical reviews on IC/DoD standards and policy documents.
• Serve as SME in data governance across IC.
• Define requirements aligned with mission objectives and feasibility.
• Author documentation for data-driven architecture principles.
• Monitor emerging tech trends relevant to warfighter systems and ISR.
• Conduct testing to identify anomalies, assess vulnerabilities and quantify risk.
• Collaborate with engineers and mission partners to integrate insights into pilots and systems.
• Deliver clear technical reports and executive presentations with actionable recommendations.
