Job summary

EPB, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Network Engineer III to design, configure, and troubleshoot data, video, and voice networks. You will provide high-level technical support for ISP and network management applications and lead small projects and teams.

The role requires strong routing, switching, firewalls, and security skills, plus the ability to develop documentation, mentor colleagues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments.

Qualifications

6-10 years of experience with Service Provider networks.
Industry certifications (Network+, NRS-2, JNCIA, JNCIP) preferred.
Proficiency with network hardware and management ecosystems (Nokia, Ciena, Juniper).
Advanced security around compliance regulations and risk management.

Responsibilities

Lead and work on projects with technical staff for network implementation, installation, configuration, and support.
Mentor inter-departmental teams to ensure project success.
Develop and maintain system documentation including diagrams, SOPs, and work instructions.
Ensure carrier-class consistency and stability of network devices and services.
Design, implement, and manage EPB's residential and commercial broadband services.
Perform audits and maintenance to sustain service levels and optimize systems.
Provide after-hours support for 24/7/365 operations.
Collaborate with other engineers across Telecom, Systems, and Video teams.
