Job summary

Stimulus Technologies is seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Architect to lead design and expansion of our multi-state ISP network. The role requires senior technical leadership, standardization, and mentoring of Network Administrators.

Based in Las Vegas, the position involves in-office work, field visits, and travel to multiple states. The successful candidate will develop scalable architectures, establish engineering standards, and drive large fiber deployments while ensuring

Qualifications

At least 10 years of progressive networking experience.
Senior-level engineering or architecture experience within an ISP or telecommunications carrier.
Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6, QoS, multicast, security, and high-availability design.
Experience designing core, distribution, access, and transport networks.
Experience developing network strategies for large fiber deployments.
Understanding of fiber route planning, backbone design, redundancy, capacity planning, and service-area architecture.
Experience with fixed-wireless and wireless infrastructures.
Proven success leading major deployments or migrations.
Experience supervising and mentoring network engineering personnel.
Ability to analyze complex problems and communicate recommendations clearly.
Strong project-management and documentation skills.
Ability to balance performance, scalability, timelines, and cost.
Willingness for after-hours escalations and travel.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable, resilient ISP network architecture.
Design layouts for new fiber deployments and network expansions.
Establish standards for core, distribution, access, transport, and edge networks.
Lead major infrastructure projects from design to handoff.
Supervise and mentor Network Administrators.
Improve reliability, redundancy, capacity, and efficiency.
Ensure networks follow documented configurations, security, and monitoring standards.
Provide senior escalation support for outages and performance issues.
Identify root causes and implement permanent fixes.
Support due diligence and integration for acquisitions and new markets.
Develop capacity plans based on growth and demand.
Evaluate equipment, vendors, and technologies.
Maintain network diagrams, IP plans, and change records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership.
Prepare technical plans, budgets, and recommendations.
