Job summary

Stimulus Technologies is seeking a Network Administrator to operate, maintain, and expand our ISP network in Nevada and across a multi-state service area. This hands-on role supports fiber, fixed-wireless, carrier transport, tower, and core routing infrastructure.

The position is based in Las Vegas and blends office work with remote network administration, plus field visits and travel. It is not traditional IT or end-user support, but a focused ISP infrastructure role.

Qualifications

• For at least 3 years of professional networking experience.
• Experience with ISP or telecom networks.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPNs, and network security.
• Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and wireless gear.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network availability and performance.
• Configure routers, switches, wireless equipment, and transport systems.
• Implement designs and standards by Network Infrastructure Architect.
• Diagnose and resolve outages quickly.
• Provide Tier II/III escalation support.
• Document root causes of outages and issues.
• Support deployment of new fiber, fixed-wireless, and transport.
• Assist field technicians with troubleshooting and turnaround.
• Maintain network diagrams, IP addresses, configurations and circuits.
• Conduct capacity reviews and identify upgrade needs.
• Follow change management and security procedures.
• Coordinate with carriers to resolve issues.
• Validate backups of network configurations.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Travel to network sites as needed.
