Job summary

RayzeBio in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Senior Associate Scientist I, Isotope Production, to provide hands-on lab support for radiochemical and analytical work in isotope production programs. You will contribute to radiochemical separations, data collection, and translation of lab-scale concepts into scalable GMP production processes.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Radiochemistry, Chemistry, or related field with 2+ years of radioactive material experience.
• cGMP and chemistry laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments for R&D radiochemical processes for Actinium-225 production.
• Implement separation and purification methods (chromatography, precipitation, solvent extraction).
• Run process scale-up studies from benchtop to process scale in shielded hot cells.
• Perform hands-on lab work with radioactive materials following safety practices.
• Help maintain process flow diagrams, equipment logs, SOPs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and scientific staff on equipment and automation systems.
• Independently execute target processing activities and radionuclide recovery tasks.
• Assist literature review and data gathering to support process improvements.
• Support technology transfer with documentation and transfer protocols.
• Work with external vendors to install and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Travel less than 5% of the time.
