Job summary

Teufel Landscape seeks an experienced Irrigation Technician to support our Oregon Maintenance Division. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize commercial irrigation systems and build strong client relationships to help properties perform at their best.

Responsibilities include audits, startup and winterization services, troubleshooting electrical/hydraulic issues, and programming controllers for efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial irrigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems.
• Experience with irrigation controllers, valves, wiring, clocks, backflow devices, and diagnostics.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Must have insurable driving record and pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues including valves, heads, lateral lines, mainlines, controllers, wiring, and pumps.
• Perform irrigation audits, inspections, startup services, and winterization services.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic irrigation system problems.
• Program, adjust, and optimize irrigation controllers for maximum efficiency and water conservation.
• Respond to service requests and emergency irrigation repairs.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, coverage, and water use.
• Recommend repairs, upgrades, and enhancements that improve system reliability and landscape health.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify deficiencies before they become major issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
