Job summary

Teufel Landscape is hiring an experienced Irrigation Technician to support large commercial landscape construction projects. This role focuses on installing new irrigation systems, including underground piping, sprinkler heads, valves, and control wiring on big sites.

You will read plans, lay piping, install components, splice wiring, test systems, coordinate with grading and planting crews, and keep a clean, safe job site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of irrigation installation experience (commercial construction preferred).
• Experience installing underground irrigation piping and sprinkler systems.
• Familiarity with irrigation wiring and control systems.
• Ability to read construction and irrigation plans.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pre-employment drug screen and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Install new commercial irrigation systems from plans and specifications.
• Lay out and install mainline and lateral piping (PVC/HDPE as specified).
• Install valves, valve boxes, sleeves, sprinkler heads, rotors, and drip systems.
• Pull, route, and terminate irrigation control wiring, including two‑cable or two‑wire systems.
• Perform waterproof splices, labeling, and basic wire testing.
• Flush lines, pressure test systems, and assist with startup and inspections.
• Read and follow irrigation plans, details, and site layouts.
• Coordinate work with grading, planting, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
