Job summary

IT Resource Hunter is seeking an experienced Ironworker Foreman for a large semiconductor project in North Phoenix, AZ. You’ll lead a crew, keep steel erection safe, accurate and on schedule on a fast-growing site.

Responsibilities include reading erection drawings, directing members into correct locations, checking connections and bracing before crane lift, and ensuring bolts meet drawings and specs. A drug test is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ironworking and able to pass 3G/4G SMAW/FCAW weld tests
• 4+ years as Ironworker Foreman
• Able to read erection drawings: piece marks, grid lines, elevations, orientation and connection details
• Structural bolting: picking the right bolts and meeting tightening requirements
• Safe boom lift and telehandler operation, including reading load charts
• Able to pass a drug test

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct ironworker crews day to day
• Use erection drawings to ensure the right steel members go in the right place
• Check connections, stability and bracing before members are released from the crane
• Make sure bolting meets the drawings and specs
• Oversee safe use of boom lifts, scissor lifts and telehandlers, including fall protection
• Report progress and issues to the superintendents
