Job summary

RTX's ASDS SBU in Woburn, MA seeks a Senior Principal Engineer to lead as System Requirements & Engineering IPTL for the XTR-2 program, guiding multi-discipline teams and overseeing system architecture, CONOPS, and design reviews on day one.

This onsite role requires a DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship, with a focus on cost, schedule, and technical performance across IPTs, and opportunities to shape next-generation radar solutions.

Qualifications

Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with Earned Value Management, Risk & Opportunity, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) or Integrated Master Plan (IMP) tools.

Responsibilities

Owns all system engineering scope for XTR-2.
Develops, maintains, and controls system-level requirements with flow-down to subsystems.
Leads system architecture, concept refinement, and configuration management including software architecture.
Ensures allocation of performance, functional, and interface requirements across subsystems.
Manages system level ICDs, requirement changes, and traceability (e.g., DOORS).
Owns system integration planning, including verification and validation strategy.
Leads system-level design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR inputs) and ensures readiness of subsystem artifacts.
