Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services seeks a network/voice engineer to support DISA IP telephony and data networks in a DoD environment in Hawaii. You will manage, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco/Avaya/Oracle voice platforms, ensure secure remote access and reliable services across sites, and contribute to network policy, change controls, and incident response.

The ideal candidate has DoD 8750/IAT II level certs, Security+ CE, 4–8 years of relevant experience, and strong SIP signaling expertise.

Qualifications

Requires BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or equivalent to meet requirement.
Experience with one or multiple Cisco, Avaya or Oracle voice platforms including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), Oracle Session Border Controller (SBC) and Avaya Aura Application Server.
Expertise in SIP interworking signaling and call flow.
Demonstrable experience of advanced fault analysis to isolate and diagnose network problems for routing, switching, security and large scale voice implementations.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering tasks to maintain a large, complex and highly resilient IP voice and video communications infrastructure.
Manage, configure, troubleshoot and assure service supporting all aspects of a voice, video and data network.
Develop technical policy, work instructions and reporting in support of an enterprise IP telephony network.
Analyze and resolve complex technical problems utilizing foundational knowledge of SIP signaling and call-flows.
Validate change requests and ensure accuracy.
