Job summary

Latham & Watkins in San Francisco, NY, and DC seeks a Senior Analyst, Intellectual Property & Technology, to support the litigation team with IP matters spanning software, electronics, and semiconductors.

You will collaborate with technical experts, draft analyses, distill complex concepts for non‑scientists, and help prepare witnesses for deposition and trial. A PhD and IP experience are preferred; patent bar is desirable. Hybrid schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum five years’ relevant IP experience.
• At least two years’ post-graduate IP-related experience.
• Patent bar qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with technical experts to analyze hardware and software technologies and patents.
• Draft and review technical reports and analyses for litigation.
• Explain complex scientific concepts to non-scientists.
• Prepare technical witnesses for deposition and trial and develop exhibits.
• Review patents in complex technical fields.
• Protect confidential and proprietary information.
