Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Corporate Counsel, IP to lead global patent strategies and strategic IP diligence across acquisitions, collaborations, and license deals.

You will advise senior leadership, partner with Corporate Development, R&D, and Business Development, manage outside counsel, and drive portfolio optimization to maximize asset value. This role reports to the VP of Legal & IP and operates in a fast-paced biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• US Patent Attorney/Agent with 10+ years in biopharma.
• Undergraduate degree in biology or chemistry; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience leading IP due diligence for acquisitions.
• Expertise in freedom-to-operate, portfolio development, and exclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead IP due diligence for acquisitions and collaborations.
• Develop global patent strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage external counsel for patent prosecution and litigation.
• Advise senior leadership on IP risks and opportunities.
• Oversee post-transaction integration and portfolio optimization.
• Collaborate with Corporate Development, R&D, and Business Development.
