Job summary

Strava seeks a senior counsel to lead patent and trademark portfolios, manage IP litigation, and handle cybersecurity matters with the Legal team. You will partner with Marketing, Engineering, CX, and Security, applying AI thoughtfully to improve efficiency and impact.

You report to the Deputy General Counsel and will operate with commercial pragmatism, balancing risk and progress while growing the practice area to support Strava’s global business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across IP, litigation, or brand protection with a mix of in-house and/or law firm roles.
• Sound, independent judgment in ambiguous situations without reliance on precedent.
• Comfort using AI tools in your work and advising others on AI-related questions.

Responsibilities

• Lead trademark portfolio strategy and enforcement for Strava and Runna.
• Build and protect Strava's patent portfolio collaborating with the business.
• Drive IP litigation matters from strategy to resolution.
• Own cybersecurity legal matters end to end, advising on incidents.
• Manage law enforcement data requests with scalable processes.
