Job summary

Bandwidth is seeking a Sr. IP Network Engineer to design, operate, and continuously improve Bandwidth's global IP network infrastructure. You will own datacenter fabric, WAN routing, and firewall security, driving automation to keep the network reliable at scale.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on VxLAN/EVPN and Palo Alto experience, plus a solid base in service provider routing protocols. You will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and participate in after-hours maintenance when

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
10+ years in service provider network roles
Hands-on with VxLAN/EVPN datacenter fabrics and Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama)

Responsibilities

Design and operate VxLAN/EVPN-based datacenter fabrics across PoPs and leaf-spine topologies
Manage Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including Panorama and zone-based policies
Architect and maintain BGP-based WAN routing across Bandwidth's backbone
Develop and maintain network automation tooling using Python/Ansible or similar
Mentor junior engineers and lead complex network projects
Contribute to network documentation and runbooks
