Job summary

Ezee Fiber is seeking a Senior Network IP Engineer to design and optimize large-scale service provider networks, ensuring performance, scalability and security. You will lead network projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new services.

The role requires 5–7 years of IP networking experience, CCNP/CCIE desirable, and hands-on expertise with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and network hardware from Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on IP networking and large-scale service provider network environments.
Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage advanced IP network architectures, including routing, switching, and security protocols.
Develop and deploy scalable network solutions to support high-availability and high-performance requirements.
Perform in-depth network performance analysis and optimization to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including those related to latency, packet loss, and connectivity.
Lead and manage network-related projects from inception to completion, including the coordination of resources and timelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and services.
Implement and maintain network security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to network infrastructure.
Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Provide regular reports and updates on network performance, incidents, and improvements.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior network engineers and support staff.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network engineering.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Network IP Engineer will have a deep understanding of IP networking, extensive hands-on experience with large-scale service provider network infrastructure, and a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing complex network solutions. As a Senior Network IP Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of our network services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Network Design and Implementation:

Design, implement, and manage advanced IP network architectures, including routing, switching, and security protocols.
Develop and deploy scalable network solutions to support high-availability and high-performance requirements.

Network Optimization and Troubleshooting:

Perform in-depth network performance analysis and optimization to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including those related to latency, packet loss, and connectivity.

Project Management:

Lead and manage network-related projects from inception to completion, including the coordination of resources and timelines.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IS-IS, Segment Routing, etc.) and technologies (DHCP, NAT, QoS, etc.).
Hands-on experience with network hardware from major vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, etc.).
Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
Strong background in Nokia SROS, Junos, and IOS-XR.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
