Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. (Telular) seeks a Senior Engineering Manager for the Tank Monitoring IoT Platform to lead development of cloud SaaS, mobile apps, and firmware. You will head a high-performing team, drive architectural decisions, and ensure reliability and security across systems.

Based in Herndon, VA with Atlanta, GA options, you will collaborate with Product, Sales and Ops to deliver innovative, secure solutions, champion Agile and DevOps practices, and push for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in CS or related field; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in people management.
Proven SaaS platform delivery experience with cloud-native architectures.
Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, DevOps, and modern software design patterns.
Hands-on with C#/.NET and full-stack development; strong data storage experience.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end software delivery for the Tank IoT Platform, including SaaS apps, mobile apps, cloud services, and firmware.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team with ownership culture.
Drive development plans, release schedules, and deployment timelines to predictable outcomes.
Provide technical leadership for architecture reviews, solution design, technology selection, and key decisions.
Guide evolution of cloud-native, distributed, event-driven systems that are scalable and secure.
Partner with Product Management, Sales, Operations, and senior leadership to align priorities.
Champion Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, observability, testing automation, and operational excellence.
Maintain high standards for software quality, reliability, security, and accountability.
