Job summary

Lutron Electronics in Boston seeks a Senior Embedded Firmware Design Engineer to design, develop, and deliver firmware for IoT devices powering lighting, shading, and smart home systems worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA 3.00 for all degrees earned.
• 5+ years of experience post academics.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without H-1B sponsorship.
• Solid foundation in CS fundamentals including object oriented principles and design patterns.
• Demonstrable experience in embedded systems (C/C++, RTOS or Bare Metal), networking (IEEE 802.15.11, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.15.4) and IoT technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of projects by converging decisions across multiple teams/disciplines.
• Translate real-world customer and device constraints into scalable firmware solutions.
• Lead technical design and architectural decisions across application, cloud and embedded components.
• Mentor junior software engineers.
• Create system and software design documentation.
• Implement, unit-test, and integrate solutions with multiple developers.
• Resolve technical issues and field reports in a timely manner.
