Job summary

Lutron Electronics is seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer to join a cross-functional team across multiple geographic locations including Boston, MA; Austin, TX; and Coopersburg, PA. You will contribute from concept to production, focusing on embedded firmware and software for connected devices and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum GPA 3.00 for all completed degrees.
• 4 years of software development with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years with a Master's in Embedded Firmware or Embedded Software.
• Embedded Firmware: C, C++ required; C# preferred.
• Embedded Software: C++ required; Golang preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architectural decisions for embedded product functionality, performance and reliability.
• Translate customer and system constraints into scalable embedded solutions.
• Support new product development from concept through production.
• Drive cross-team technical alignment for firmware, embedded Linux, cloud services and client applications.
• Implement, unit-test and integrate solutions with multiple developers.
• Participate in design reviews and identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Resolve issues in hardware/software interaction in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, mechanical, manufacturing and test engineering teams.
