Job summary

Delta Faucet Company seeks a Lead Software Systems Engineer to shape the software architecture for IoT-enabled products and digital experiences. You’ll guide cross-functional teams across cloud, mobile, and embedded ecosystems to deliver scalable, secure solutions from concept through launch.

You’ll mentor engineers, define patterns, and drive AI usage, ensuring robust, production-ready systems that improve everyday water use.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
8+ years hands-on software engineering for connected products and IoT.
Experience with core IoT product capabilities: mobile and cloud apps, BLE/Wi‑Fi/Thread, OTA, IoT data modeling.
Experience designing scalable, secure architectures across cloud, mobile and device ecosystems.
Experience managing cloud performance, observability, scalability, and cost optimization.
Proven track record leading improvements from customer feedback and UX insights.
Experience partnering with embedded/firmware teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Experience delivering consumer mobile apps including architecture and deployment to App Store/Play.

Responsibilities

Define and deliver the software architecture behind Delta Faucet’s digital products.
Lead architecture for Azure-based connected platforms with modern cloud services.
Shape technical direction for new connected products and lifecycle planning.
Define scalable, secure solution patterns across cloud, mobile, and device ecosystems.
Establish AI usage practices and documentation integration.
Collaborate with product management, firmware, QA, DevOps, and external teams.
Guide backend and frontend development using cloud-native patterns.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to strengthen engineering practices.
Help bring smart home water products from concept to launch and scale.
Support products in market with enhancements and ongoing improvements.
Contribute to architecture decisions, coding standards, and secure development practices.
Coordinate deployment models, observability, reliability, and incident response.
