Job summary

Disney Entertainment seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Apple ecosystem development. You will build a feature-rich, layered media playback library across Disney’s D2C brands, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.

The role emphasizes Swift/SwiftUI, UIKit, and AVKit expertise to deliver best-in-class streaming experiences. The position requires deep iOS/Apple platform knowledge, strong problem-solving, and the ability to design reusable components across Disney+ and ESPN

Qualifications

• 5+ years of iOS software development experience.
• 3+ years using Swift.
• Experience implementing complex UIs with UIKit or SwiftUI.
• At least 3 years in agile processes.
• Understanding MVC/MVVM trade-offs.
• Proficient in OO and Reactive programming concepts.
• Experience with iOS/TVOS app lifecycles.
• Write clean, testable code and collaborate with seniors.
• Experience with unit test frameworks and CI systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, proactive learner.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features integrating with Disney media services and back-ends.
• Collaborate on API design with peer teams and front-end teams.
• Research and develop media playback experiences, testing, and integration.
• Participate in project estimation and resource planning.
• Collaborate in small teams and larger engineering org.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cross-platform issues.
• Specialize in Apple technologies (UIKit, SwiftUI, AVKit, StoreKit).
