Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build a feature rich streaming playback library for Apple devices. You’ll help design a layered architecture that spans Disney’s streaming brands, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a best-in-class experience.

Based in the Apple ecosystem, you’ll work with UIKit, SwiftUI, AVKit, StoreKit, and media services to craft high quality software while solving complex technical challenges and ensuring performance across

Qualifications

• 5+ years of iOS software development experience, including Swift.
• 3+ years building complex UIs with UIKit or SwiftUI.
• Experience with agile processes to keep teams effective.
• Understand MVVM/MVC design patterns and OOP concepts.
• Experience with unit tests and CI systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features with Disney media services integration.
• Collaborate on API design with backend and front-end teams.
• Research and develop media playback experiences and testing.
• Participate in project estimation and planning.
• Work in a small team and also in the broader engineering org.
• Troubleshoot issues across multiple platforms.
• Specialize in Apple technologies (UIKit, SwiftUI, AVKit, StoreKit).
