Job summary

Disney Media Player Engineering is seeking a Senior Product Software Engineer to create a feature-rich standard streaming media playback library on Android devices using Kotlin and the Android SDK. Design and develop a layered architecture that can span Disney's direct-to-consumer brands like Disney+, ESPN, ABC News, and Hulu, collaborating across product, design, and engineering teams.

This hands-on role requires teamwork, problem solving, and delivering a best-in-class viewing experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Proficiency in Reactive Programming and Dependency Injection.
• Strong understanding of MVVM/MVI or equivalent architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features that integrate with Disney media services and back-ends.
• Collaborate on API design with front-end and API services teams.
• Research and develop media playback experiences, testing and integration.
