Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Mobile Engineer III, iOS in Seattle to own native iOS experiences for Expedia Checkout. You will design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance apps with modern iOS frameworks, collaborating with backend, product, design, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end journeys.

You’ll translate requirements into scalable designs, write clean, observable code, and contribute to automated tests and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or 5 years of equivalent practical experience.
• Experience shipping native iOS apps with ownership from design through production.
• Strong iOS architecture, low-level design, API integration, and data modeling experience.
• Proficiency with iOS tools, frameworks, testing, observability, and operational best practices.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional, multi-domain teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain native iOS applications that are secure, performant, and resilient using modern iOS frameworks and best practices
• Translate product and experience requirements into clear technical designs (LLD, API design, data models)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, product, design, and quality teams to deliver end-to-end customer journeys
• Write clean, testable, and observable code; contribute to automated testing, monitoring, and code reviews
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, improving application reliability and performance
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions while maintaining privacy and security standards
