Job summary

SideShift is building the operating system for the creator economy. We’re hiring an iOS Engineer to own features from idea to launch, working with founders, product, design, and backend engineers in New York City.

You’ll ship high-quality Swift interfaces, influence mobile architecture, and help scale an app used by over 1M creators. Compensation ranges from $130,000 to $180,000 plus equity, with in-person collaboration every day.

Qualifications

• 1-5+ years of professional iOS development experience using MVVM or similar architectural patterns.
• You've built and scaled iOS apps from 0 to 1.
• Strong proficiency in Swift or Objective C.
• Strong understanding of iOS fundamentals and software architecture.
• Experience working with REST APIs and asynchronous data.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Strong product instincts and attention to detail.
• Ability to take an ambiguous problem and turn it into a shipped product.
• High ownership - you don't need someone telling you exactly what to build every day.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality iOS features using Swift.
• Help define and evolve our iOS architecture.
• Build interfaces and interactions that feel fast, polished, and native.
• Debug production issues and improve app reliability and performance.
• Help establish engineering practices and standards as the mobile team grows.
