Job summary

Apple's Creativity Apps team is seeking a senior engineer to architect and build media management and collaboration features for Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork. You will own features end-to-end and collaborate with human interface designers, QA, and cross-functional partners.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years shipping iOS/macOS code, strong leadership, and a passion for sustainable software development.

Qualifications

5+ years of proven experience shipping high-quality, tested code on iOS and/or macOS.
Technical lead experience with strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Strong understanding of architectural patterns commonly used in Apple platform development.
Solid CS fundamentals and object-oriented design.
Proficiency in Swift and at least one UI framework (SwiftUI, UIKit, or AppKit).
Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and take full ownership of product features.
Track record of mentoring others while remaining open to learning and asking for help.
Commitment to fostering an open and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

Architect and build media management and collaboration features for Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork.
Set the technical direction for new and innovative features in creative tools.
Partner with human interface designers, QA teams, and cross‑functional partners throughout the full development lifecycle.
Drive features from concept through delivery, taking end-to-end ownership.
Mentor other engineers and foster a culture of learning, openness, and inclusion.
Contribute to project planning and influence decisions beyond code, including user interface direction.
