Job summary

efood is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to push mobile technologies and shape the next generation of our iOS apps. You will build clean, scalable code and actively participate in code reviews, while managing distribution and release from development to post-release.

You will collaborate with Android, Web, backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to deliver features, improve testing, and drive initiatives that reinforce our leading conversion rates on iOS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience with mobile apps.
• At least 5 years shipping real-world production iOS applications.
• Strong knowledge of Swift and modern iOS development.
• Experience with UIKit/SwiftUI and design patterns (MVVM, VIPER).
• Experience leading medium to large projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively define, design, and deliver new iOS features with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure robust code with unit and integration tests.
• Drive personal initiatives from idea to app integration.

Our Consumer Apps team is looking for their new Senior iOS Engineer to join their team and make an impact for our mobile users. You will produce a clean, maintainable, testable, dynamic and scalable code, and you will actively contribute to code reviews. In addition, you will manage the distribution and monitor the release, from development to post release. You are also a doer, with a “get-things-done” attitude!

What you’ll do:

• Collaboratively define, design, and deliver new features with Android, Web and backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers.
• Ensure software robustness with comprehensive unit and integration testing, addressing edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Initiate and drive personal project initiatives from idea to app integration.
• Lead projects from inception to successful delivery, aligning with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Keep up with the latest SDK, tools and conventions.

Qualifications

University and/ or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

8+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years of experience shipping real-world production iOS applications.

Passion about mobile platforms and solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

Strong development skills in Swift and architecture design patterns (MVVM, VIPER, dependency injections, swift concurrency async/await, observables etc).

Deep understanding of UIKit and SwiftUI in collaboration with design systems.

Strong knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices in application development.

Experience in leading medium to large-scale projects.

Excellent problem-solving and learning ability.

Holistic knowledge and passion for the platform.

Superior analytical skills and a strong sense of ownership in your work.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Highly driven in learning and practicing Apple's new technologies and guidelines.

Nice to have:

• Experience in CI tools (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or familiar tools).
• Experience in Observability tools.
• Experience in performance monitoring/testing.
• Knowledge of creating/maintaining private pods (SPM).
• Familiarity with integration/functional/UI Automation testing (Swift testing, snapshot testing etc).
• Analytic tool experience and data-driven culture.
