Qualifications

• University and/or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years engineering experience with at least 5 years shipping real-world Android apps.
• Passion for mobile platforms and full mobile development lifecycle.
• Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and Java.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively define, design, and deliver new features with iOS, Web, and backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers.
• Ensure software robustness with comprehensive unit and integration testing.
• Initiate and drive personal projects from idea to app integration.
• Lead projects from inception to delivery, aligning with business goals.
• Keep up with the latest Android SDK, tools, and conventions.

You’ll join one of our product teams , working closely with product and engineering teammates to drive feature development. As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll report to the team's Engineering Manager, while collaborating closely with the Android Chapter Lead to address chapter-specific issues and tech OKRs. You’ll also work alongside Backend, iOS and Web counterparts to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience across platforms. What you’ll do:

Collaboratively define, design, and deliver new features with iOS, Web and backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers.

Ensure software robustness with comprehensive unit and integration testing, addressing edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Initiate and drive personal project initiatives from idea to app integration.

Lead projects from inception to successful delivery, aligning with business goals and stakeholder expectations.

Keep up with the latest Android SDK, tools and conventions.

Qualifications

University and/ or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

8+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years of experience shipping real-world production Android applications.

Passion about mobile platforms and solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and Java.

Experience with one or more of the following architecture design patterns: MVP, MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture.

Strong knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices in application development.

Experience in leading medium to large-scale projects.

Excellent problem-solving and learning ability.

Holistic knowledge and passion for the platform.

Proficiency with Jetpack Compose, Room, Kotlin Coroutines, ReactiveX.

Superior analytical skills and a strong sense of ownership in your work.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

Familiarity with integration/functional/UI Automation testing.

Analytic tool experience and data-driven culture.

Experience in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Bitrise or similar tools).

Experience in Observability tools.

Experience in performance monitoring/testing.
