Job summary

System One in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior iOS Developer to lead mobile app initiatives in a hybrid role combining onsite and remote work. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver robust iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C, while aligning with MVP/MVVM patterns and enterprise architecture.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of mobile experience, deep knowledge of iOS frameworks, REST APIs, and testing with XCTest/XCUITest.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mobile development experience.
• 5+ years of iOS app development with Swift/SwiftUI/Objective-C.
• Strong object-oriented programming background.
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation.
• Experience with Xcode for coding, debugging and deployment.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, performance tuning, and memory management.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS apps to back-end services.
• Familiarity with MVC, MVP, MVVM patterns.
• 4+ years of experience integrating RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Knowledge of web technologies and UI/UX standards.
• Understanding of Apple design principles and interface guidelines.
• Experience with Git.
• Experience with XCTest/XCUITest.

Job Title: Senior iOS Developer

Type: Permanent Full Time

Work Model: Hybrid -- onsite and remote

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sound and high quality technical deliverables.
• Analyze, quantify, and estimate the amount of work for every sprint or release.
• Understand the requirements, current state architecture of the enterprise, and create a roadmap for future enhancements accordingly.
• Develop mobile application code in coordination with other team members.
• Integrate the mobile applications with the centralized authentication application.
• Create Software Architecture Document, High Level and Low Level Design document, Nonfunctional requirements for the project.
• Work in an Agile environment and adapt to the changing needs and requirements of the business.
• Always be ready to be hands-on to develop or fix issues to deliver on time and with highest quality.
• Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans, and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested.
• Ensure that software design patterns like MVP, MVVM are strictly followed.
• Groom the team and develop the application with customer-centric ideas and innovation as the core of every activity.
• Escalate issues and concerns to the leads in a timely manner to avoid impacts to timelines.
• Effective participant of requirements gathering and analysis.
• Apply technologies and domain knowledge with the delivery of developed or integrated components.
• Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of various factors.
• Triage or analyze situations for production support.
• Knowledge on biometric authentication and device capabilities like Camera, Phone state, Location, Notifications, Permissions management, etc.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with mobile development.
• 5+ years of experience with iOS App Development on Swift, Swift UI, and Objective C.
• Strong Object-Oriented background.
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
• Experience with XCode for coding, debugging, and deploying iOS apps.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, performance tuning, and mobile memory management.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
• Familiarity with app architecture patterns MVC, MVP, MVVM.
• 4+ years of experience integrating with RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Knowledge of web technologies and UI/UX standards.
• Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
• Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience with XCTestFramework and XCUITestFramework.
• Exceptional at component and unit testing following standard practices.
• Ability to deliver on time with minimal supervision.
• Strong agile/scrum development experience.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
