Gusto, Inc. in Denver is seeking an experienced Mobile iOS Engineer to help scale our shared services and build the foundation of our mobile apps.

You will own key components, collaborate with Product, Identity, Security, and Infrastructure teams, and drive high-quality, scalable iOS solutions. We value deep Swift/iOS expertise, strong cross‑functional collaboration, mentoring, and a track record delivering robust mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Swift and iOS software engineering, with at least 12 years in mobile software engineering overall.
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, security, and infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of testing frameworks and best practices for mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, test, and refine Gusto’s iOS app and supporting mobile web views.
• Utilize AI agents to accelerate high‑quality outputs.
• Identify and advocate for architecture and process best‑practices.
• Enhance and maintain iOS infrastructure including build pipelines, tests, and release process.
• Develop and scale essential services like push, localization, and accessibility.
